Ambassador Ashikbayev Takes Parts In A Discussion On The U.S.-Kazakhstan Relationship Co-Hosted By International Tax And Investment Center And New Lines Institute

On Nov.30, Ambassador of Kazakhstan in the U.S. Yerzhan Ashikbayev took part in an in-person executive briefing organized by the International Tax and Investment Center in collaboration with New Lines Institute celebrating the release of ITIC’s report “30 Years of Bilateral Ties: the Special U.S. - Kazakhstan Relationship” authored by Dr. Ariel Cohen and Mr. James Grant.

Among the distinguished speakers were Special Representative of President of Kazakhstan for International Cooperation H.E. Erzhan Kazykhan, Acting Deputy Coordinator for Counter Terrorism, U.S. Department of State Mr. Irfan Saeed, Deputy Assistant Trade Representative for South and Central Asia Ms. Zeba Reyazuddin, ITIC President Mr. Daniel Witt, Director of Analytical Development, New Lines Institute Mr. Kamran Bokhari. The event was moderated by Head of Power Vacuum Program and Senior Analyst, New Lines Institute Ms. Caroline Rose.

The participants discussed the U.S. - Kazakh relations, including trade and investment, non-proliferation, cooperation on Afghanistan and counter-terror initiatives.
